Best Breakfast in Jaco

If you’re hoping to grab some eggs and bacon on an early morning in Jaco, you’re in luck. There are plenty of great breakfast places in Jaco! From typical gallo pinto and eggs to extravagant pancakes, there is something for everyone. Bohio Cafe

Bohio Cafe, the best cafe in Jaco, has two locations: one in the center of town in Jaco and one in Playa Hermosa, just a ten-minute drive south of Jaco. The Hermosa location has a spectacular breakfast menu with avocado toast, eggs and bacon, French toast, a breakfast sandwich, and more. Everything is served on sourdough bread that is made in-house, daily. The location in Jaco also has breakfast with many of the same options as Hermosa but just a smaller selection (no French toast in Jaco; you’ll have to go to Hermosa for that, but it is worth the drive!).

Green Room

From sweet, steaming pancakes and plates of fresh fruit to burritos loaded with eggs, cheese, and sausage, Green Room is the best option for brunch. Here you will find a wide selection of both sweet and savory breakfast foods in addition to fresh tropical juices, hot coffee and tea, and refreshing cocktails. This 50s-inspired diner features vintage furniture and pictures of Elvis, Marylin Monroe, and other fun pop-culture references. Doña Marta

While not technically located in Jaco, Doña Marta is a true breakfast experience. Located in the mountains of Bijagual above Jaco, Doña Marta is a large outdoor restaurant serving typical wood-fired cooked breakfast and lunch. Many ATV tours take you up into these mountains and include a stop at this delicious restaurant. It offers some of the best gallo pinto around, and you’ll get to enjoy the breathtaking mountain-top view as you sip on your hot coffee.
