Horseback riding is likely one of the most beautiful ways to discover the fantastic sights of the Jaco Costa Rica rainforest. You will be greeted by one of our bilingual guides and introduced to your animal companion for the tour. These horses are some of the happiest and healthiest horses in the area, so you are sure to have an enjoyable ride. We will take you along our 80-acre private property until we reach the secluded waterfalls and natural swimming pools that accentuate your tour. You may come across some remarkable wildlife like white-faced monkeys, toucans, and scarlet macaws along your journey. Once we arrive at the pristine waterfalls, you will have time to relax and enjoy the waterfalls and natural slides. Along the tour, your guide will provide water, and upon your return, you will be welcomed back with fresh local fruits to end your tour on a tropical note.
Be sure to wear comfortable clothes, shoes (no flip flops if possible), and long pants to avoid rashes. You are welcome to wear shorts, but that does increase the chances of getting a rash from the saddle. It is recommended to choose a tour time that is either early morning or sunset ride, as Costa Rica is very HOT, and a midday ride can be a somewhat uncomfortable ride in the heat. If you do choose a midday tour, a hat is strongly recommended. We run the tour rain or shine. If you visit us in the rainy season, the warm shower will provide a nice refreshing cool down from the hot sun, making this activity one of the best things to do in Jaco.
